About
Acting for Empathy: A Community Workshop is an engaging, practical online experience from Wanderlust TheatreWorks for educators, students, and community partners in Title I schools and low-income communities. Learn how professional theatre techniques can build perspective-taking, communication, and belonging while keeping performances accessible and inspiring. Through guided activities, rehearsals-at-home, and reflection prompts, you’ll develop skills to create authentic characters, listen actively in scenes, and design small classroom or community performances that strengthen empathy and community connection. By the end, participants will leave with a ready-to-use empathy-focused acting toolkit, discussion questions, and a simple performance plan to bring to schools or partnerships.
